I recently had occasion to deal with burned
out light bulbs on a Becker Europa II Stereo
radio for my 74 280C.

The Europa II Stereo has two lights -
green for illumination and
red for STEREO received.
Replacement procedure:

1.
Tune radio all the way left, or toward the low end of the band.
2.
Pull off knobs and left sub-knob.
3.
Pull off bezel and face plate.
4.
Both bulbs are behind the black panel in the middle of the radio face.  On the left end of the panel you see a slotted sleeve-screw. Loosen that screw with a medium blade.
5.
Slide the black panel to the right, out from under the sleeve-screw, and it will break free of the radio, held only by wires.
6.
The bulbs are in a socket. I was able to replace the bulbs in place. There is a soldered ground to one of the bulb sockets that could be un-soldered if one wanted to pull the bulb sockets out for easier access.
7.
For replacement bulbs I used the wedge base bulbs from a Mercedes instrument panel that I had on hand.
8.
Reverse the procedure to reassemble.
